I'm not picking sides here because I don't have all the facts, even though there is suspicion about the narrative... but it bothers me that if you Google or watch the news, you only see the high school prom pictures of Ahmaud Arbery and nothing recent or unflattering, yet if you look at the shooters, its only mugshots - no family photos or high school prom pictures. This is turning out to be a lot like Trayvon Martin and Philando Castile all over again. Clearly we're going to just establish an innocent victim killed by horrible murderous vigilantes out for blood and there can be no room for reality, even as more videos surface.

Brah, Philando Castile shouldn't be grouped anywhere near Travon Martin. The cases were completely different.

Castile was a licensed gun owner, who during the stop responsibly informed the officer he had his firearm on him, who was shot by a police office with an unchecked unconscious bias. He didn't fight the officer, he didn't back talk him, he complied with all orders (he could have reasonably complied with- obviously as he believed the officer knew he needed to pull his license from his wallet, as in most stops this happens, I don't believe it registered right away that the office was not wanting him to even get his wallet).

I in Philando Castile's case I felt bad for both sides.
I think Castile probably got used to his interactions with officers being cool and smooth as a LTC holder. Then got complacent when the wrong officer pulled him over, he may not have had a second thought about grabbing his wallet for the stop. He had done it a hundred times you know.

The officer I think (I'm only guessing, because I have know idea his motivations truly) had unconscious bias or something that spooked him into not waiting to see if Castile produced a wallet or the gun (He just told the officer he had on him - legally) before shooting. I mean I could say I would have drawn, gained the drop, and not fire all day long but i wasn't there. I do still think i hold the officer to a higher standard as I do most peace officers. Their job is dangerous to be sure, but they train and prepare for that danger willingly. people pulled over for a taillight, even certified LTC holders don't train for those encounters. So I believe it is on the officer when things break down like they did in the Castile death.

Sorry, when people go out of their way to certify themselves to carry the weapon they own, I feel like we start out numbering the bad guys with guns. But when a LTC holder gets smoked by a jumpy peace officer or anyone else for that matter, for whatever reason, I get heated.

Why does that bother you? Even if Arbery was a criminal, them chasing him with guns and killing him is unjustifiable under the law. So the media painting him as a victim and them as murderers is perfectly justifiable.

My comment was rather clear. It isn’t illegal to jog. It isn’t illegal to resemble a burglar. Again, for a citizen’s arrest, you better have all your ducks in a row, which these guys didn’t. Again, leave the suspicions to the police. It isn’t illegal to carry a shotgun in Georgia (I never said it was), but it isn’t self defense to jump out at someone with a shotgun and shoot them for defending themselves from that threat. You know what? Instead of degrading people like me who understand these things, try and re-read my prior comment repeatedly until it clicks. I’m not going to run in circles because you can’t fathom the victim being an innocent jogger. The guys wouldn’t be sitting in jail awaiting a murder trial, if they were in the right. No, all the evidence points to this guy not being just an innocent jogger. who jogs in heavy boots? why was the "jogger" on a construction site mins earlier? why did the jogger not stop when the retired cop in the pick up truck was trying to detain him? why did the "jogger" attack a man with a gun?

Also you forgot to add the fact that he was jogging with a hammer, which he tried to discard while he was running towards their truck. We have video evidence of him picking up this hammer from the construction site. Also he had been arrested before for bringing a loaded pistol to a school basketball game that he was not even attending.
