Iryna Zarutska was stabbed to death while riding the Blue Line in Charlotte's South End last month. A homeless man stabbed her in the throat with a knife and the event was captured on CATS surveillance. Short answer, NO. Since the CCTV is owned by the NC transit system, a government entity, it has to abide by USA state privacy laws (VRA/Marsy's Law) which requires censoring any images of crime victims released to the public. There are occasionally leaks, but I wouldn't hold my breath. The below video is what was released on FOIA request by the media of the murder of Maria Zarutska...
