Any footage of a cremation? not one in the woods but in a crematorium? i feel like i once saw a vid and mid way through they smashed the bones with a pole to help break down into ash?

Yeah, DR has several examples but you can find the same on YT because it's not treated as gore. I've personally witnessed several cremations and it's true that not all of the body is reduced to ashes. Large chunks of bone remain and some medical devices such as pacemakers, dental fillings, chemo ports, etc. The metal parts are removed and just the bones are placed into a device resembling a commercial blender. They're pulverized into small bits and combined with the ashes to make the final cremains. Corpse Cremation
