Alcohol was definitely involved, although I'm not sure exactly how drunk Riehl was. He's drinking scotch in some of his videos, or at least claiming to, and told the officers that he had been doing so. He didn't seem too particularly hammered to me, but I also don't know him so I can't really make that determination. But yeah, his history is full of red flags that had the crazies written all over 'em.

I think MSNBC did a show on this a while back or at least I saw it a few months ago. They showed pre and post footage but I can't remember if they said if the murder was shot or not. I can't imagine why they wouldn't have filmed it.
No video of the murder was filmed just before and after. I've seen it. Dull.
