Okay, I know the video you're talking about but I couldn't find it here, although someone more familiar with the combat threads might be able to help.

I dug around and you seem to be describing a video of Jac Holmes (aka: Sores Amanos) who was a Brit volunteer in the YPG. He did three tours from 2014-2017 and was highlighted in a Netflix documentary called, Frontline Brits Battling Isis.

His cartridge failure video was posted on reddit around 2017, but all video links source the same video on Youtube which has long been removed and not archived.

There are several combat threads in the war forum that might reference that particular battle, but some of the posts link back to missing YT videos.

Sadly, Jac died clearing mines in 2017. Hopefully, some of this info may help your search and I'll also keep my eyes open...
