There have been a couple of requests for the uncensored Brittany Skoland video. Here's what I know:

No security or other camera footage has ever emerged. The event was only captured on police dash and body camera.

As a result, public dissemination is controlled by state law — meaning the footage has to be censored or redacted before released via public FOIA requests. This is basically true for all states in the US, but most police chiefs/sheriff's have the discretion to block or censor footage beyond the legal requirements in the interests of protecting victims or the investigation.

It would appear that the Fort Dodge police were a bit overzealous when it came to blurring out the event, perhaps to protect Brittany Skoland or in the interests of any forthcoming criminal prosecution against the dogs owner. (The Webster County DA has decided the owner did not commit a crime).

Regardless, the unedited footage is stored in evidence. Anyone caught breaking evidence rules and leaking the video is looking at termination and heavy prison time.

The bottom line is, the likelihood of ever seeing the uncensored footage is basically zero.

There are two videos I vaguely recall that were a little bit different/shocking- one where a lady is impaled on a fence in Paris, I believe- still talking. After jumping from a hotel or apartment level. The second is an Indian guy getting to toasted in the front of a big rig that happened to be conducting high voltage from the line that was hit and fell from the highway. Do these ring a bell? I’m looking for the video of a police or military official in Asia who was ripped or cut in half after a traffic accident but was still alive, even though his bottom half was completely gone.
