Venezuelan DJ Shot Dead In Bronx Restaurant Basement
Bronx, New York, USA A man was shot and killed inside the basement of a restaurant in the Bronx early Thursday morning, police said. The victim was shot in the head inside the basement of the M Lounge Restaurant, in the Fordham section, just after 4:25 a.m. He was then brought outside to the sidewalk, where he was pronounced dead. Police have so far identified the victim only as a 29-year-old man. Unofficially, the victim was named as Yei R., also known as "DJ Hampa", a Venezuelan DJ who had around 10,000 followers on Soundcloud. The victim's wife off camera told Eyewitness News that her husband was at the restaurant selling sunglasses last night. Police said the suspects fled on foot following the shooting. Investigators are searching for two men believed to have been involved. No arrests have been made. Location |
