"Competence crisis". Gee, I sure do wonder why we're having this competence crisis in the west all of a sudden. In this particular field, as a Canadian, I seem to recall the majority of a hockey team getting killed by a trucker several years ago. Almost like what's accepted as normal in third world countries is becoming normal here.

Re: USA: Truck Driver Slams Head-On into 3 Motorcyclists
He was intoxicated and most likely fell asleep, woke up for a split second not even realizing he was in oncoming lane. Then fell asleep again. Truck was slowing down. Right on the blind spot of the hill.. and yes the first guy did have an incredible reaction. Honestly feel like the 2nd guy had no chance other than he simply leaned the wrong way. The young couple did have a chance but didn’t lean soon enough. It can happen fast as fuck. Horrible shame. Rip. And this is why I only ride my bike on the lake roads now. Even then I know I could still die any second. Bikes are dangerous as fuck.
