Re: USA - Police Kill Armed Suspect Caught Breaking into House
Murder. Gun pointed at the ground, no immediate threat. The language coming out of the assholes mouth that murdered him was a bit much. I hope he's held accountable for his behavior.

Re: USA - Police Kill Armed Suspect Caught Breaking into House
It depends on who you ask: From the point of view of someone who interprets the law to a tee it would be justified when the guy makes the attempt to rise the weapon and becomes an actual threat. A police bootlicker on the other hand, will accept that just the act of holding the gun pointing down and refusing to drop it is enough to be considered a threat. Even having a gun inside the waistband or holster in some cases will prompt the cops to "justifiably shoot" someone. This last instance happened "poetically justified" to an undercover cop who was inside his car, he was intervened by many cops and when one of them yelled "gun, gun" one of the cops started shooting without any confirmation of the existence of a real threat (unless they expect an armed cop to be a threat to them, that is.) So one pig got a dose of its own medicine. |

Regardless of what the gun looks like, warning command was given multiple times, it appears that he was wounded and still he would not respond and comply and resulted in his death. Officers at this time has to be concern with his mental state and the possibility that he may start shooting.

Re: USA - Police Kill Armed Suspect Caught Breaking into House
I have police officers in my family and friends. I usually back the police and I'm not saying I don't in this situation, but I am going to point out some things about this situation. Nothing will happen to the cop obviously, but you can't say this guy doesn't have anger issues. He wanted to kill that guy. It's not like he shot once or twice, but emptied his entire mag into him. The guy with the gun was clearly ill. It's easy to say "you should listen" but when you're crazy and sick in the head things that compute to normal people doesn't apply with people in that mental state. Now the shooting will be deemed justified off course, but the guy didn't raise his weapon again and looked like he was contemplating giving up. Again someone who is crazy probably has a lot going on in their heads. If he raised the gun or made any jestures that he was going to raise the weapon that should justify lethal force. Officer lacked restraint and his emotions got the best of him clearly. There won't be any discipline at all because that is the culture behind policing in America. You're protected behind unions and even when bad cops violate rights or cost the city millions in lawsuits most officers who are disciplined continue working with the department or get hired somewhere else. Only in extreme cases will something be done. |

Re: USA - Police Kill Armed Suspect Caught Breaking into House
Can we blame them though? We have to understand that if you've reached the point of telling an armed suspect to put down their gun, and they aren't, you have to assume that the thoughts going through their head are violent ones like "when's the best moment I can catch them off guard and shoot back" or "how am I going to get out of this without going to jail", because at that point there's only two options: put the gun down or die. If you're sitting there contemplating it, chances are you're going to try an alternative violent option and the cops know that.

Not sure why at that point you would decide to take your time unless you wanted to die..

It's a shame he didn't get the mental assistance he so desperately needed. He had definitely lowered his weapon but the police had already decided to kill him at that point.

When that first shot hit near his head you can see his airsoft/paintball reflex kick in where he raises his hand to yell "hit!" Typical retarded r9k user who fucked around and found out lmao |
