Re: USA - Philly Fight Turns Deadly
This isn’t a case of self defense, but when shooting a person in self defense it happens in a split second with massive amount of adrenaline hitting you. Having the safety of the attacker is not on the shooter’s mind at all in that fraction of a second they pull the trigger.

Re: USA - Philly Fight Turns Deadly
To put it quite simply the legs can be just as deadly as a head shot easily… lots of veins and the femoral artery which if ruptured or concussed violently enough will be fatal within a few minutes if not expertly treated… also when the adrenaline is going like that it’s pretty hard to shoot with that accuracy for inexperienced people… better to aim center mass when dealing with a threat… I do agree that those extra shots were unnecessary… Considering the first shot made him try and get up and run

Re: USA - Philly Fight Turns Deadly
Most people understand that a headshot is sure to be a killshot. In the amount of time it takes you to pull out your gun and pull the safety back, you have time to consider where you're going to shoot. As a matter of fact, it should be in your mind the moment the gun is first placed into your hands.

Re: USA - Philly Fight Turns Deadly
Head shots are not always fatal either. And we see plenty of people who bleed out from leg wounds… A good rule of thumb: Never point a gun at a person unless you intend to kill them. As in it’s your life, or theirs. And no matter where you hit them, be prepared to have them die from your gunshot. |
