Like the man said at the end, he would love to be open about his sexuality in public but he’s afraid of being attacked. Most gay men today seem to be more open online and live a bit under the radar day to day which honestly seems to be for the best.

Am I the only one who saw the "victim(s)" as being the aggressors? I mean, if someone calls me a ****** for dancing at a gas station (which by all accounts probably would be deserved), you won't see me getting all in a hiss and trying to gang up on them...because really, that's what it looks more like to me than someone committing a hate crime. If the kid rolled up on them and just out of nowhere stabbed the guy, sure - hate crime him all day...but he said words, and they came at him, then got shanked.
