It would have been no skin off the driver's teeth to chirp his horn to alert people before making such an acute turn.

is for WALKING....after he saw the people move
across....thats his cue to proceed.

this driver will never be charged with anything.

Doesn't change the fact that at some point the driver had to pull up to that stop, and at that point he clearly saw someone standing dere in a GLARINGLY BRIGHT YELLOW SLICKER.

Also bear in mind that the driver is sitting in an elevated position which gives him a greater field of vision. Absolutely no excuse.

I don't make a habit of standing in the street in front of big loud diesel trucks, no matter what color "slicker" I am wearing. Cause, you know, YOU WILL GET RUN THE FUCK OVER.

I love how liberals always cast blame even after something like this. It's always someone else's fault. And then we should pass some more laws. That will fix stupid.
Laws already exist that protect pedestrians against just this sort of thing. Truck driver was clearly in the wrong.
