Re: USA - Man Murdered by Having an Axe Buried in Head
Exactly. Some drugged out weirdo standing right in front of you, holding an axe and spasming, and you can't put your phone down for a minute?

Re: USA - Man Murdered by Having an Axe Buried in Head
That sorry excuse for a human deserves to rot in solitary confinement for the rest of his life. No death penalty, that's too merciful. Creatures like that have a special place in super-hell reserved just for them, where they'll be tortured and murdered repeatedly for all eternity. I hope that son of a bitch gets beaten to a pulp.

Maybe he was hearing a little voice in his head that tells us horrible things, and he chose to listen to it. You know, that little voice that tells you to take that knife and stab somebody or carve their scalp off or tells you to jump in front of that car. To me it's a miracle that people don't murder each other more often. We have the capability to do so. All it takes is something to switch on in our brain and we'll become killing machines.

Re: USA - Man Murdered by Having an Axe Buried in Head
You have clearly never been in solitary confinement or in a federal prison, I've been in both so I'll lay out how exactly it works. The guards have absolute, unchecked power over inmates. Officially, they have to abide by rules/regulations and uphold your rights, but there's no one there to keep the guards in line. There are little to no cameras, meaning the guards can do whatever they want without any repercussions. The guards will beat you, they will take away privileges for entirely arbitrary reasons. They'll take away meals, phone calls, visits (if you're even allowed to have them in the first place), time outside or in a common area. They'll take away your mattress so you're sleeping on a cold metal bedframe with no pillow or sheets. I was beaten to the point where I blacked out because I refused to give sexual favours to guards. I have multiple physical scars and a missing foot from my time in that horrible place, not to mention the complex PTSD and severe depression I was diagnosed with a month after I got out. The "healthcare" you get in jail/prison is worse than Afghanistan or Haiti. Their "doctors" and "nurses" have often never graduated medical school. Their "dentists" are in the same boat. Unless you've got a life-threatening condition or injury, they won't do anything for you. Nine out of ten nurses and doctors in prison can't even properly draw blood or start an IV. They completely ignored an injury and infection in my foot, up until it turned gangrenous and had to be amputated. The "hot meals" they serve, usually consist entirely of undercooked meat, spoiled fruits & vegetables, and random soups and shit made of whatever they've got in the back of the pantry. I got food poisoning twice from the meals they served, and another inmate died. For context, I was wrongly arrested in 2012 for burglary, arson and attempted murder. They had no real evidence, no motive, and no way to prove I did what they charged me with, and because of that, detectives used 'advanced interrogation techniques' on me (a.k.a. literal torture) until I wrote a false confession just to get them to stop. I had a solid alibi in the form of video evidence to prove that I couldn't possibly have committed the crime, but the false confession was enough for the jury to convict me, despite the rock-solid evidence to prove my innocence. I was thrown into a federal prison and was in solitary confinement for the first SEVEN months, before joining general population for the rest of my stay. I don't know how exactly they did it, but my lawyer managed to file an appeal or something of the like and I ended up being granted a new trial. The jury found me not guilty on all charges and I was acquitted. After FOUR AND A HALF long years in federal prison, I was finally freed. I had to learn the hard way that detectives and the district attorney's office don't care about bringing criminals to justice, they only care about solving the case, even if that means putting an innocent person behind bars. It's fucked up, but it's the way it is. Those fucking detectives and guards will likely never be brought to justice and I have to live out the rest of my days with four years of nonstop trauma and a mechanical foot. And before you ask, this all happened in the good old U.S. of A. Fuck the justice system, fuck those detectives, fuck those guards, and most of all, fuck the United States. So to answer your question, yes, an eternity of torture in "super-hell" is too merciful when compared to a lifetime in prison. |
