Many dogs that attack humans are automatically classified as Pit Bulls due solely on looks alone. I've actually seen one case in my neighborhood where a Rottweiler nipped someone in the lip and people were calling it a Pit Bull.

The owners are now both in jail and they did, in fact, train these dogs to be violent and there is a history of them attacking people. Most dogs will eat someone the way these dogs were treated and trained.
