The Constitution does not provide for such powers, In the hands of the government or the police. These are all usurpation of the law, which have been appropriated ex post facto. Quite the opposite, The Founders provided for The People to be secure in their effects, persons and possessions. Obviously, a vehicle is only an extension of a person's abode, and the mobility of it thereof is irrelevant—it should still be protected, just as the home is. The ambulatory aspect is irrelevent—what is of import here is that the person is protected, wherever they're at. |
