Re: USA - Dallas Youth Football Coach Executed On Field
The fact that you think black people have the same safety and are "less likely" to be killed by police shows me that you think driving while black isn't a thing. Man. White privilege is deep in here |

Re: USA - Dallas Youth Football Coach Executed On Field
I don’t ‘think’ i *know* it, because the FBI crime stats plainly lay out that with all other available factors considered, with just the race as the variable, blacks are LESS, not more, likely to be shot by the police. Now, of course, people with a narrative to push never account for those ‘other variables’ like the fact that black men are astronomically more likely to be a perpetrator of a violent crime and black people in general resist arrest far more often (these taken into account MORE THAN accounts for the disparity in superficially-examined inter-race statistics.) I don’t know if your side’s failure to appreciate this is a matter of ideology or just plain innumeracy, but it’s pitiable. P.S. Yes, I know that ‘driving while black’ is a thing, it’s an unfortunate consequence of the fact that statistically speaking young black men will be way more likely to match the description of wanted violent criminal, because people that look like them far, far more often than average ARE violent criminals. Using this as an excuse to harass a community like it sometimes was historically should be punished when exposed, but just eliminating this won’t (and hasn’t, and isn’t expected to) get us anywhere close to racial parity. Black people getting disproportionately shot will go way down when black people stop resisting arrest and submit to lawful authority like everyone else seems to be able to manage. Young black men in particular being seen more often as a suspect is only going to change when their disparate rates of criminality do (or are you saying that little old asian ladies should be pulled over when searching for a young black male crime suspect, ‘just to be fair’ and pad the stats… smh.) |
