This guy is handsome, speaks/dresses well and was a veteran. I wonder how the transformation happens OR are we absolutely sure this is the shooter?

Seems like he started to spiral after a divorce, had some money problems, and was acting erratically in the months leading up to the attack.

My early take - Internet radicalization for a man going through a mid-life crisis, a bad divorce, and losing contact his his children. People in crisis get hooked by these nutty internet groups. The group gives them friends and a new purpose. It's also how people fall into cults.

You're absolutely right about the stats. But just by doing what he did shows that he falls outside of statistical norms. Whatever his motivation, he can certainly not be described as a typical Texan Army veteran, can he ?

The probability of him being a Trump supporter is only high when you apply it to a typical person, not an atypical one. But I always try to keep an open mind and there is a lot of information that still needs to come out, it's early days still.

That makes no difference. What you just said is even more of a justification to outlaw islam in the US. First, we send those who are non-citizens back to the shit-holes they came from. Next, we revoke citizenship from those foreign born and deport them. Those born here need to either renounce islam, leave or live in a detention facility. The ones choosing to renounce, will prove it by burning the koran in front of the proper authorities. Just like they make us do to a bible when we go there.
