Re: Unique View Of The World Trade Center Jumpers Landing Zone!
Nobody dies of a heart attack falling for 10 seconds. After the Lockerbie disaster, they found a woman on the ground alive after the plane had plummeted five miles to the ground. She didn't live for long, but she was alive AFTER hitting the ground. If your heart and mind shut off when you're falling, what about sky-divers? Those guys hit the ground and got mashed. Toughest choice ever. But if you watch some of the "burnings" on DR, after a few seconds, they don't seem to be in much pain. Either way, it's a horrible way to go. I think if I were in that situation, I'd be thinking, "you never know, I might not die when I hit the ground." So, yeah, I'd probably jump! |

First and LAST time the ragheads will ever do that here! In a way they're lucky it's the 21'st century. If they had pulled that shit in the 1940's the U.S. would have nuked them off the map! "Those who deny freedom to others deserve it not themselves" Abraham Lincoln

Re: Unique View Of The World Trade Center Jumpers Landing Zone!
How is that so? Just about every suicide jump witnessed or recorded on video clearly shows that a person is fully conscious until the very last second before impact. Even those who jumped off the World Trade Center continued to flail and flap their arms and legs in a conscious effort to balance themselves or grab hold of something. I think you took the wrong classes there dude... |

Re: Unique View Of The World Trade Center Jumpers Landing Zone!
I asked the same exact question in my AP class. It's a case by case basis. Some people will have cardiac arrest and some people will survive the whole way down (until you hit the ground obviously). It just determines on the will of the person. Sky diving is a totally different case. Your brain knows that you have a parachute and you will likely not fall to your death. |

By this theory, the first skydiver would have had a fatal heart attack, and so would every other skydiver after him. So no, they were alive the whole way down.
