That almost happened to me. I still have a scar on my chin from where i slipped trying to run across the tracks... if I hadn't a slipped, I'd a never a made it... and my friends would have been inside of a car watching me die just because I was a dumb teenager trying to be exciting... Good thing it was wet out... good thing I slipped. Good thing that slipping was my miscalculation... |

Of all the things to get hit by, the stupidest is a train. It doesn’t turn. It doesn’t blink. It not only tells you where it’s been. It tells you exactly where it’s going. You can see it’s future location stretched out for miles and miles. And then, just to be sure, it screams at you with a voice that can be hear several blocks away. The rumble of which feels like an earthquake. How do you get hit by something like that? Not even gazelles are that fucking stupid. Can you imagine if a lion made his path known for the next hundred miles and swore not to divert from it no matter what got in its way? The gazelle would never get eaten. But sure as shit some idiot person still would, running in its path at the last possible second while everyone around him pretended to be surprised. |
