Ah.. culiacan. The juntas de humaya area is pretty bad. There was a cartel attack that caused a gas station explosion there a few years ago…Not far from the residents is a cartel cemetery where family of dead cartel members spend 100’s of thousands on luxury tombs while the rest of the area around it lives in abject poverty. Girls who get involved with cartel are known as buchona. Young girls like the lifestyle and wanna get out of poverty and think the risk is worth it. Hard to say what happened here, only 2 out of 100 murders get solved in Mexico! Could have just been some sicko who killed them, could have been lured there and used as a right of passage by young new cartel members who knew them, the first thing they do is make you kill someone, anyone when you say you want to join them. It’s sad, it happens because there is poverty and not enough education for these kids. Sinaloa is a lost state, corrupt from the top down. Nothing the Mexican army couldn’t do to clean it up, but the government at the Zacateca in CDMX is too busy living their comfy lifestyle in Polanco, pocketing bribe money to care. Never forget that AMLO told the Mexican military to stand down and let El Chapo’s son Ovidio Guzman go free. |
