On Friday night (19), the body of an unidentified man was found inside a supermarket cart on Avenida Oscar Borel, in the Compensa neighborhood, west of Manaus. According to preliminary information, the cart containing the body was left at the location around 6 PM by someone pushing it. The scene drew the attention of residents, who alerted the authorities.

Initial reports indicate that the victim was suspected of involvement in a rape case and also of child sexual abuse. Unofficial information also suggests that the man worked as a motorcycle taxi driver. However, to date, there has been no official confirmation of the victim's identity or any possible criminal record.

According to initial information gathered at the scene, the man was allegedly murdered by members of a criminal faction. A note was left on the body with the word "rapist" written on it. Military police cordoned off the area to preserve the crime scene and prevent onlookers from approaching.
