Two Men Killed After Crashing Motorbike - Bodies Only Found Weeks Later
In Goianésia do Pará, Pará state, Brazil, two friends - identified as Marcelo d.S.O. and Matheus S. - were reported missing on the 1st, after they had left in the early hours on a motorbike towards the rural property where they worked. On the 17th, the decomposing bodies of the duo were found. Based on evidence, it appears that the men had died after losing control of their motorbike and crashing into a pole. |

Re: Two Men Killed After Crashing Motorbike - Bodies Only Found Weeks Later
How on earth did these people go unnoticed?? Also, I am POSITIVE that the people who traveled along that stretch could most certainly smell them. I don’t understand how they were missed. It seems much more likely that nobody bothered to do their job and really search for them, rather than believing that they completely missed both men, AND the bike, in a culvert off the pavement, on the road they would have taken to work the day they went missing… Really?? |

Re: Two Men Killed After Crashing Motorbike - Bodies Only Found Weeks Later
It's entirely plausible that just no one noticed it. There's a busy road right by house where a body was eventually found almost a month later. It was in the ditch in some thick grass/weeds and just no one saw or noticed it because it wasn't visible and there is no reason for anyone to stop in that area. I'd say there are hundreds of thousands of vehicles that passed by that spot. The only reason he was even found then is because someone eventually reported him missing and he was known to run/walk in that area. Someone hit him and knocked him into the ditch where he stayed until being discovered. |

But the smell… Nobody smelled him there?? That’s just crazy, the poor guy. But it does happen, especially in more rural areas. There are an awful lot of people who are just found because someone found their skull, or their dog dragged home a femur… |

Re: Two Men Killed After Crashing Motorbike - Bodies Only Found Weeks Later
Similar story in Tucson. A father reported a son and his motorcycle missing. The son's friends and the relatives organized search teams and looked for him for a couple weeks. The father was out walking one morning, and had the idea to check the hill on the other side of where the stop sign was at a T intersection. It turned out the son had run through the stop sign, probably accidentally, and flew over the edge and 40 feet down the cliff to the wash below. There he was, but it had been 3 weeks in the hot desert sun. You can look it up on Google Maps. Tucson - Camino Loma Alta - headed south, it intersects at Colossal Cave Rd. That is the T intersection, where he was found. He crossed over Colossal Cave Rd and ran into the wash bed. I went there and it's about a 40 foot drop to the bottom. Anyway, the kid was found, but the family was heartbroken. |
