Probably an old Taurus .32 S&W cal. revolver, dumbass didn't shoot the guy on a vital area, so the effects were diminished and the guy in blue was able to take advantage of the limp wristed grip on the revolver and twisted it right against his face. Knives are proximity/contact weapons, firearms are not. (Also people should disregard the phallacy about snub nose revolvers not being accurate at a distance  )
