Both victims died at the scene while the driver — who had turned 23 Friday — and her female passenger, 22, tried to flee on foot and were taken into custody nearby. The vehicle was “full of booze and drugs,” including pills, marijuana and a bottle of alcohol, police sources said.

The passenger had rented the car, which had Wisconsin license plates, last month but hadn’t returned it when it was due on June 29th, sources added. Both women were taken to hospital, with police obtaining a warrant to test them for drugs. They have not yet been charged with any crimes.

The driver (first photo) and the passenger are apprehended. There appeared to be blood on both their clothes.
