Two fishermen riddled with bullets Venezuela 20/05/2021 On Thursday afternoon, 2 fishermen were shot and a 16 year old young was wounded after they were attacked by individuals who claimed to be members of the Structured Group of Organized Crime (GEDO) "El Yiyi", which claims control of the beaches. The incident took place in Lake Maracaibo, where the fishermen were working and were surprised by the criminals. The deceased were identified as D.S., 47 years old, and A.M., nicknamed "Mortadela", 49 years old. The injured young man was taken to a hospital in the city of Maracaibo, alias "El Yiyi" demanded beach owners to pay the vaccinations so that they could work. The fishermen indicate that several gangs are at war for the control of the beaches.  |

I understand Venezuela is going through an economic crisis right now, but damn... fishermen? I wonder if they know you make more more money extorting people if they have a pulse.  At least the kid got lucky with some quick thinking. |

The way that kid flipped over the boat was pretty good. Almost like he’s done it before, almost like he runs a fish robbing syndicate of which he befriends fisherman, leads them to unsuspecting locals and then bammo. Or it has nothing to do with that.  |
