Two Dead, Seven Injured when a Semi Truck Hits a Family in a Pick-up Truck
Two dead and around seven people injured was the result of a fatal vehicle accident on the road that leads from the village of San José to Coyoles Central in the municipality of Olanchito, department of Yoro, Honduras. According to preliminary information, the accident occurred this morning when a group of people were returning from a wake in a paila-type vehicle. Consequently, the vehicle was suddenly hit by a semi truck. After the fatal impact, the people who were driving in the bucket-type car were left lying in the middle of the road. The accident was also recorded on a video that was captured through the security cameras of a gas station located in the area. It is worth mentioning that so far the dead and injured victims in the tragic accident have not been identified. It has only been detailed that the injured were rushed to the Aníbal Murillo Escobar Hospital, in order for them to receive the necessary medical attention. The people who were mobilized to said care center had serious injuries, so their health status so far is reserved. For their part, the police authorities went to the place where the road accident occurred to carry out the respective investigations. |
