Two Cowboys and Their Horses Die After Receiving a Shock from High Voltage Wire
Two men identified as D. and W. died early Monday morning in southeastern Pará, Brazil. The two worked as cowboys on a farm, located in the region. The victims received an electric shock as they were riding their horses on a camping trip. The cowboys did not notice the high voltage wiring detached. In addition to the two workers, both horses also died on the spot. |

I ranched for many years growing up and rode in all kinds of terrain... this is like a 1 in a billion chance and doesn't seem likely to happen... poor horses and ranch hands |

Hey, Paolo. Did you string that 20,000-volt line out to the south 40 like I told you to? Yeah, boss. Good thing you gave me plenty of wire. It got pretty saggy in places. |

So, how did this happen? The wire was hanging low, and the riders made contact with it as they rode by? Or, was the wire laying on the ground, both horses stepped on it, and it electrocuted the horses and riders on the spot?

OMG... What a tragic accident. Is it completely weird that I am crying for the 'horses!?'
