Unless I’m missing something, the water looks survivable if they knew how to swim. I would have wanted to take my chances with the rapids instead of just hanging there drowning.

also the rope should have been taut from the start and and as long as one had a strong grasp, this wudnt happen. the rope had enough slack to drape over the falls
