Too many employees heading into this recession. Time for a corporate "team building" field trip to trim the fat!

In the Shiren Gorge Scenic Area in Taizhou, Zhejiang province, China, a male and a female tourist were swept away by the water while crossing a gorge stream using a rope.

A man in a red shirt and a woman with a backpack were using a rope to cross a stream when the woman lost her balance and was knocked over by the turbulent water. The man attempted to rescue her but was also knocked over. Both of them grabbed onto the rope, and their teammates tried to pull them up but failed. Eventually, the rope broke, and the two were swept away by the rapid current.

The scenic area's emergency management bureau stated that the two individuals had gone hiking in the area with friends. Upon receiving the report, authorities organized two groups of rescue personnel to search for them, and staff were on-site handling the situation. The rescue operation is still ongoing, but neither tourist has been located.

The water at the accident site is usually not turbulent, but from June 1st to 2nd, a heavy rain warning had been issued for the area, suggesting that the water flow was affected by the heavy rain.
