An inmate in a U.S. Prison is stabbed to death. Man dies before guards get to him. Kell was originally imprisoned in the state of Nevada for the murder of 21-year old James Cotton Kelly, after his conviction on the jail house murder, Kell received the death penalty.

I remember this. The two guys holding the victim down and stabbing him were white supremacists and the victim was black. I don't remember why they singled him out other than because he was black.
