Re: Trooper Mark Coates is Killed by Richard Blackburn (Shorter Version)
Sorry, first, you're not allowed to assume everyone is armed and protect yourself first... You are required to put a citizen's rights BEFORE your safety as a cop. Second, he shouldn't have even been asking to search the car, he had no reason to search the car OR the person. We have something called the fourth amendment here. Now as to the tragedy here, I am sorry for him and his family. I am also sorry that the other man had to go to prison and live with killing another person. We have the right to bear arms, we have the right to avoid unreasonable search and seizure. If cops were trained better about what their authority entails, less shit like this would happen... Jaden |

Re: Trooper Mark Coates is Killed by Richard Blackburn (Shorter Version)
You know nothing about search and seizure laws in on a SC drug running highway in 1992 And you can shove the 4th amendment up your ass Good thing for all the readers and posters on the forum there is a person who knows.. Unreasonable search and seizure becomes reasonable once the officer has established that the chance of finding drugs or contraband is stronger then the chance of the car being clean How did Coates come to that fact? Well if I had the whole tape you would see Coates use many many stall tactics waiting for Blackburn to say something stupid or see something in his car that would alert him and move that scale up to finding drugs Remember Coates was a member of the ACE unit with his number one job being find drugs and stop drug running Thats why he only gave Blackburn a warning, and was super nice and joking with him the entire stop, because Blackburn had agreed to everything Coates had asked, then right when Blackburn thinks the stop is over Coates knows its just starting Blackburn was a fat stoner looking scumbag whos car was full of trash and his clothes were dirty and wrinkled. Coates saw fast food wrappers and soda bottles all over the place, as if Blackburn had been on the road for a while living out of his car (just like a drug runner would) These things we can see, but what we dont know and only Coates knew for sure is did his car smell like weed? did he smell weed on Blackburn? What other clues did Coates pick up on The main thing for an officer is if everything is in order and the driver seems clean, stall them until they fuck up. And if that dont work stall them some more, and if that dont work then super stalling tactics are deployed, all the while smiling, being nice and joking with the driver Any officer can beat a stupid 4th amendment lawsuit in court, because the officer can list so many reasons for cause of search that any normal member of society on the jury would have to agree with You remind me of "Steve" the drunk southern guy on the riding mower who gets tazed and screams "I know my rights!!!! I know my rights!!!!!" And to end my ass whippin on your lame post, was Coates right? Did Blackburn have drugs in his car? Wait for it........ YES |

Re: Trooper Mark Coates is Killed by Richard Blackburn (Shorter Version)
Its so simple to understand, dont have drugs or contraband in your car or on your person or in your home and you will never have to worry about your rights being violated I was pulled over years ago and I could see him stalling me out and had to laugh I had yes on the tip of my tongue for when he asked to search but he never asked Must have been my easy going outstanding personality That or the cop could tell I wasnt a "I know my rights!" type scumbag |

If you are a scumbag and get pulled over, dont blame law enforcement for being cautious... As stated before, dont do illegal activity and expect to not get caught. Career criminals do shit and dont think what they are doing is wrong. Mostly because they are under the influence and been doing dirt for so long that it seems absolutely normal.. |

Re: Trooper Mark Coates is Killed by Richard Blackburn (Shorter Version)
The time for being a scumbag and having drugs, weapons and all that shit on you or in your car is before you turn 18 and become an adult I got all my scumbagging done early, and trust me I was a grade A pile of shit scumbag I never did anything like cause serious injury to another person or strong arm someone because even as a punk kid I had some sort of feelings and knew one day I would have to grow up and be a productive member society like my mother and father before me and my parents mom and dad before them My dad used to always say, "Get it all out of your system now boy, because you act this way after your 18 and you go to prison" My pops also knocked me back into line quicker then I got out of it This is not about some silly 4th amendment law, its about right and wrong Dont break the god damn law! Be a responsible adult! I promise you dont need drugs or illegal guns (I need legal guns to be happy Trust me |
