Train Hits Bus Killing 7 Passengers
Chile, A sad morning in the capital of Bio Bio after a fatal accident that involved a train and a taxibus on the San Pedro del Mar line, where it left at least 7 dead so far. Inside the bus there were 14 passengers, of which six were dead, five women and one man, respectively, he explained. However, around 4:00 p.m. it was revealed that the number of deaths had risen to seven. The accident occurred around 8:00 Friday morning at the Boca Sur Crossing, in the commune of San Pedro de la Paz, Bío Bío region. Radio Bío Bío auditors reported the seriousness of the accident, which involved a passenger convoy bound for San Pedro de la Paz-Coronel and the bus that was crossing over the railway. As a result of the strong impact, the bus ended up on the side of the road with visible damage. Meanwhile, Carabineros of the Sixth Police Station of San Pedro de la Paz reported that 7 people died, all taxibus passengers. In addition, they detailed 8 injuries of different considerations and some at vital risk. In the midst of the emergency, primary health officials from San Pedro de la Paz accused a lack of ambulances to transfer the patients. The collision was of such magnitude that the electrical wiring and concrete poles on the sides of the train line were damaged. According to the police report, the damaged bus began to cross the road when the barriers began to go down. According to an auditor from Radio Bío Bío who witnessed the fatal accident, he said that the “bus passed when the barriers were down. The train arrived and must dragged the bus about 30 meters. The train hit the bus in the middle or so,” he said. “The setting was terrible. There were people who apparently were ejected from the windows. I was three cars or so away waiting to cross. We all got off after hearing the impact,” she added. Among the dead were several teachers. Among them, teachers E.A.B.C. and C.A.Y.Y, who were traveling on the bus to go to teach at Liceo Los Andes. M.V.D.L, a 51-year-old teacher worked at Nahuelbuta College and is one of the 7 fatal victims of the accident. |

Re: Train Hits Bus Killing 7 Passengers
Freaking drivers in a rush not paying attention!! I hate that the passengers had to die for one person’s incompetence.

Re: Train Hits Bus Killing 7 Passengers
Harsh criticism against the Mayor of San Pedro de la Paz Javier Guiñez: He is a legal representative of the bus company that caused the accident with the Biotren and the night of the tragedy was founded by walking in a "cart". Mayor Guiñez owns 33% of the company "Comercial San Pedro Sur", the owner of the Buses San Pedro Del Mar line, of which he is the legal representative and where he is heavily questioned because the bus operated without technical inspection. Criticism that increased due to the reaction of several people who took photographs and alerted the presence of Guiñez in a pub of the casino of Talcahuano "like nothing" after the lack of tragedy occurred in the commune where the same mayor decreed communal duel. Footage appeared online from June this year showing 2 bus drivers ignoring the red traffic lights. |

Re: Train Hits Bus Killing 7 Passengers
The bus appears to have been hit on the right side by the pics after the collision. The first video from inside shows a passenger sitting facing the direction of travel & can see out the window the bus moving in the direction he is facing. The last video from outside show the bus being hit as it crosses, but being hit while it's crossing in the direction its moving it should've been hit on the LEFT side. Does it appear this way to anyone else or am I missing something & looking like a dumb shit? |

Re: Train Hits Bus Killing 7 Passengers
Well, TBH "dumb shit" might be too harsh on yourself, but yes everything happened on the RIGHT (starboard) side of the bus and I think you're the only one seeing it wrong. Perhaps it's time to set the bong down and get some fresh air. |
