Traffic Police Officer Stabbed to Death by Drunk Motorist in the Backseat
A traffic police officer was killed while on duty in the North of Central Russia. At 01.33 AM on June 19 in the Kharlova district a VAZ driver was stopped for erratic driving. The local resident, born in 1977, was in a state of intoxication. After the police puts the man in the backseat of the police car for a while, he sat there quietly, and then abruptly pulled out a hidden knife and attacked the traffic police officers. Surveillance camera mounted in the patrol vehicle, recorded when the intoxicated driver stabs the policemen six times before trying to leave the scene of the crime. Senior Lieutenant Alexander Lyamkin died on the spot. His team-mate Roman Polnikov gets injured and was able to prevent the criminal from fleeing. As a result, the attacker was detained. The deceased officer was born in 1981 and leaves a 11-year-old son and 5 year old daughter behind. |

And people wonder why cops sometimes jump the gun?? People don't seem to understand what cops deal with day in day out. They see the worst of the worst and have to wonder everyday if they will be going home tonight or if some asshole going to kill them just because they are doing their job. |
