Re: Traffic Accident in the Department of Norte De Santander.
Tragic case. Both started their romantic relationship months ago. In the neighborhood, he's described as a hardworking young man who grew up on its streets without causing any trouble. One of his first big purchases was the motorcycle that stayed with him until the end. During his lifetime, Pocholo, as he was often named, often repeated the phrase: "You have to enjoy life." He will be remembered for his cheerful nature, his ever-present smile and his strong work ethic. Although studying wasn't his priority, he wasn't afraid of hard work to afford the things he wanted. They were riding a black Suzuki GN on Friday morning after they shared lunch and had a pleasant time together, before starting their return trip to home when in the El Piñal sector, on one of its curves, they came face to face with a white Toyota Hilux truck, which was traveling in the opposite direction around 3:30 in the afternoon. The collision was head-on and devastating. The motorcycle and its occupants were trapped beneath the vehicle, specifically under the left front tire. Isabel died at the scene. Pocholo lay on top of her, his chest crushed by the tire, which caused severe internal injuries. He agonized for a few seconds before taking his last breath. Minutes later, the Fire Department arrived at the scene, but there was nothing they could do. Both showed no vital signs. His mother posted a compilation of photos and videos accompanied by a touching message on social media: “My life went with you. From this moment everything changed, my dreams were shattered. I only ask God and you to give me strength, my child.” Pocholo had turned 18 last November. His family surprised him with a celebration in his room, decorated with balloons. He posed smiling with the cake, never imagining it would be his last birthday. |
