Tire Fitting Worker Dies in a Tire Explosion
Near Moscow. During the repair, the wheel installed on the machine was depressurized, and the metal side ring that flew off hit the 34 year old man man. At that moment, he was examining the tire and after the impact he fell to the floor. The worker died on the spot from his injuries before the arrival of paramedics. Another person who was next to the tire fitter was not injured.

10 psi and an improperly seated split rim ring will kill you. I did my apprenticeship in a heavy duty shop and watched one go right through the ceiling. They make safety cages for those for a good reason.
