Three Workers Die As Cellar Wall at Under-Construction Hotel Collapses
Hyderabad, Telangana, India The cellar of an under-construction hotel collapsed during foundation work on Wednesday morning, claiming the lives of three workers. Several others sustained injuries and were rushed to a private hospital for treatment. The deceased were all from the same family - 50-year-old Veeraiah, and his son and nephew - 21-year-old Ramu and 20-year-old Vasu, respectively. According to police and locals, around 10 workers were engaged in excavation when the mud boundary suddenly caved in, trapping some of them under the debris. Earthmoving equipment was used to remove around two tonnes of soil and extricate the bodies. An investigation is under way to determine if there were any lapses that resulted in the collapse. It is believed that moisture had built up on the cellar wall, rendering it unstable. |

Great You get emergency workers who, rather than help carry you, use their cellphones to record you instead. I’m guessing it’s not a training video either. |

Re: Three Workers Die As Cellar Wall at Under-Construction Hotel Collapses
Right?! Holy shit! “It is believed that moisture had built up on the cellar wall, rendering it unstable.” WHAT cellar wall!? I see nothing resembling a wall, or shoring, or even a reasonable facsimile of either!!! Man, Indians are some of the, let me put this delicately here… some of the most idiotic people on the planet. Really unfortunate that they know how to reproduce so prolifically… https://www.indiatoday.in/amp/educat...366-2019-10-31 |
