Three people were killed and 5 others were injured when a speeding car crashed into a road divider and hit bystanders in India. The deceased have been identified as J. K., S.S. and S, all auto-rickshaw drivers, who were in their 40s and were waiting there for passengers.

Five persons, including car driver A, were injured in the incident and rushed to the Civil Hospital. Their condition is stated to be serious.

A speeding Hyundai Verna, with 5 occupants, can be seen on CCTV where the driver lost control over the vehicle and it crashed into the road divider, overturned and hit bystanders on the slip road around 2 pm.

The police said two bikers suddenly came in front of the car, which led to the crash. Two motorcycles parked nearby were badly damaged in the accident.

Eyewitnesses said there was a traffic jam after the accident. The police have sent the bodies to the Civil Hospital, for a post-mortem.

The car must have just come round from a steep hill, with a strong tailwind, full of overweight occupants. That's the only way a Hyundai can possibly be qualify as 'speeding'. Those rickshaw drivers probably passed the Hyundai earlier on the freeway and it was seeking revenge.

Nowhere near enough cheesy special effects and unnecessary slow motion shots to qualify as any kind of Bollywood action movie, I think.

Oh, the driver survived...that is EXCELLENT, that is the most important detail here. He has a world of hurt coming....

Unless, of course, he happens to come from an affluent family, then he can just plead "affluenza", and the judge will "pray over the matter" (whatever the fuck THAT's supposed to mean) and come to the conclusion that "prison time is not appropriate" and that he should go free, with several years of probation "hanging over his head like a sword". That's what we call "justice" here in America

I read an article in a magazine around 2000 or so where a guy was clocked @ 140+ I believe I'm a Hyundai. I'll see if I can find it for you but you're right; need a strong tailwind and a 7 mile straightway down a hill.
