Three Killed when Motorist Invades Other Highway Lane Obliterating Car
Brazil, The fatal victims were two men and a woman. The accident happened around 11 am, yesterday and involved 4 vehicles. There is still no confirmation of what caused the accident, but the vehicle can be seen leaving the lane it was on and collided with three other vehicles that were going in the opposite direction.   |

I recall reading an article about the adherence of different safety regulations varying in countries outside the West such as China and because of this, a BMW in the east could vary greatly under the hood than one made for the Western market. I wonder if that’s the reason the car exploded like that?

I have read the same thing. It may be the same car design, but they leave features out, reduce metal thickness, and eliminate tech stuff that costs money. They eliminate body stampings that are used in cars sold in safer countries, so they body shells are not as strong in collisions. I notice that in a lot of foreign countries, cars get disassembled in an accident, whereas in the U.S. and Europe, they usually stay together in one piece. Just like what happens to the people inside. |
