Third Petty Officer on a Kenton GTR 200 Stopped at Checkpoint & Shoots Himself
Paraguay, When Third Petty Officer Jonatan A.V.V, 28, rode his motorcycle into the security zone of the official Presidential Palace at 3:00 AM, today he slammed through the first set of barriers at the corner of Paraguayo Independiente and 15 de Agosto streets. Because he breached a presidential security perimeter, the guards immediately triggered an emergency response, chasing and cornering him at the next checkpoint down the block on Ayolas Street. Police and military guards immediately surrounded him. Jonatan got off his Kenton GTR 200 motorcycle, drew a firearm and threatened the officers. Before the guards could disarm or subdue him, he shot himself. He died on the scene. Neither the Paraguayan National Police nor the Navy have discovered a motive, as he did not leave a suicide note, a manifesto, or any public explanation before the incident. |
