Guy got exactly what he deserved - the officer was protecting public safety. The driver was going 100 mph or better on those roads. It wasn't just the officer's life at stake during the high speed pursuit that apparently went on for several minutes. If you noticed during the video, before the cut to the second patrol car camera, the chase passes another motorists as they go in to a slight curve/turn in the highway. That's reckless endangerment. On top of that, when the 2-3 patrol cars have the driver almost boxed in, the motorist fails to obey an order from the officer to give up the chase. I would've drawn my weapon too b/c of his disregard for my life and the safety and lives of everyone else around him.

You should be happy you weren't a motorist driving late at night on that road. An officer tells you to pull over, you pull over. |

Well, that's not true. According to the law, if you put a cop's life in direct danger, they can shoot to kill.. And once the cop was on the hood and the guy kept driving, that's it.. The cop said stop - he didn't. He shot the driver three times.. The driver kept driving.. The cop emptied his clip in his face. That's the law. PS I hate cops.. But that's just fact.
