Re: Thailand - Parasailing Guide Dies After Falling From Tandem Flight
Karon Police have confirmed that the parasail operator faces a primary charge of negligence causing death after investigators noted that Pathompong performed a high-risk maneuver without any safety harness, relying only on his hands and legs to hold onto the tourist and the parachute. The Phuket Marine Department found that the boat, Pleng Pleng, was operating with only one crew member instead of the legally required three (one driver and two licensed parasail managers). This violation carries a potential sentence of up to six months in prison. The business owner, identified as Mr. Tone, aka Kanchit Thamsuea and the boat involved have been suspended from operating until the investigation is finalized. Following the video's resurgence in early May 2026, the police have been re-examining evidence, including potential drug test results and witness statements. Once the police investigation file is finalized, it will be handed to the Public Prosecutor, who will then decide whether to proceed to court. This process can take several months after the initial charges are filed. Negligence causing death is under Section 291: Any person found guilty of negligence resulting in the death of another can face up to 10 years in prison and/or a fine of up to 20,000 Baht. |

Re: Thailand - Parasailing Guide Dies After Falling From Tandem Flight
Fell about 4 seconds so about 250 feet height. People survive a similar fall once in a while from the Golden Gate Bridge. If that guy didn't land awry (belly flop?) he might have survived if the water was deep enough. Add third world parasailing to your list alongside airshows, car rallys, neighborhoods of color EDIT: the Golden Gate Bridge roadway is 220 feet above the water. EDIT 2.0: popped a top (Guiness) and now at a quick glance, headline reads: "Prostitute guide dies after falling from tandem fuck" |
