Re: Thailand: Electrical Worker Fried On Utility Pole

Wonder if he was really a utility worker, or just some jackass screwing around with stealing some power.
Utility workers usually know what they are doing.
Bad news either way.
Unfortunately even trained utility workers get electrocuted. It’s an extremely dangerous job.

Re: Thailand: Electrical Worker Fried On Utility Pole

Poor fella, that said I love the sound of high voltage arching
I love that sound too. Just reminds us of the intense power running through there. Although this guy is burning to death he is not being electrocuted. Otherwise he be dead in an instant.

I'm not surprised he died. Cooked from the inside out.
Is it not the other way around? Looked like he was definitely cooking 'outside to inside'

Re: Thailand: Electrical Worker Fried On Utility Pole

Besides suffocating that has got to be one of the worst ways to die being safely trapped by things that supposed to keep you safe and at the same time burning to death like the guy said in an earlier comment or whatever but Jesus Christ this would fucking suck ass for real I would yeah I would rather head when he when I hit that water I would rather have drowned or anything but just lay there and cuz I know what it's like to be burned I was burned before on both hands at third degree burns and that sucked and I was five years old and I remember that so I can only imagine what he went through his whole entire body whispering any of cooked from the inside out oh God that would suck ass

Re: Thailand: Electrical Worker Fried On Utility Pole

"besides suffocation...."

Well fire does both, it's burns you and it Cooks your lungs so the screaming only sped up his death in this case.

Once you engulp the hot flames/air into your lungs the lung tissue gets sollid just as with a boiled Egg.

Once enough lung tissue is damaged by the hot air, the transition from Co² out of your body and Oxygen into your body simply stops . So basically you suffocate slowly, trying to gasp for more air since the Co² levels in your blood are raising and the Oxygen gets lower and lower.
It's mostly the high Co² levels that hurt you, it makes your body spasm for air. The lung muscles are still intact on this point so screaming and breathing heavily still works but there happens too little transition of Oxygen/Co² inside the lungs.

You can prolong such a burn-victims suffering a bit by giving them Pure(100%) Medical Oxygen like they did with the respirator

The little capacity that's left and the high percentage of Oxygen given by first responders is just enough to stay awake and experience a tat more pain from the Burned skin and people poking your wounds.

(Fire brigade training gives you some insight in how you die if you didn't checked your mask for leaks while going inside a scorching 800'C indoor Fire )

Re: Thailand: Electrical Worker Fried On Utility Pole

And the source of the fire on his body are just his clothes. The elektro shock doesn't always kill, but a Flash fire can ignite all regular clothing in a second and makes a walking/hanging torch out of you

Re: Thailand: Electrical Worker Fried On Utility Pole

Would be interesting to understand what caused this routine to get so fucked up. The fire was pretty intense in the beginning and all we see at the end is dried and burning grass? Why would grass burn that high? Looked like an oil fire, but where’s the oil from? So many questions..

The Smoke is defo an Oil fire, so the scorched grass is just what's left. Almost all the Oil burned up...

Yeah.. "almost all" , on the end of the video you can see some Black Oil floating in a corner downwind . And the grass is burned all the way to the waterline, like if some fluid seeped down the hill into this ditch.

My suspicion is that the bloke created a massive shortcut, that accidentally ignited a very badly placed open oil-drum filled with discarded Engine oil..

Setting of a chain reaction, the drum might have been tipped over by a falling wire or was made from plastic and melted, releasing all content

Anyhow, it made its way down into the ditch and a little of the engine oil floated away and was still visible in a corner

Re: Thailand: Electrical Worker Fried On Utility Pole

Ugh. Thru watching death videos, I've come to realize - though I appreciate some gore and incredible circumstances of fate, as well as stupid people trying out for the Darwin awards - that I do not like watching innocent people suffer.

This was just awful. I couldn't even finish the first video

You would only hope that your body would go into shock and you would faint or black out from the pain.

But it doesn't look like that. RIP

Re: Thailand: Electrical Worker Fried On Utility Pole

We need some talented people who speak both English and Thai to translate.
I could only make out when he was being cut down the guy yelling "Just cut it!!" and when he fell into the drain the guy with the camera kept saying "Water! Water! Water!" as he was running out.
