Left the gun there. Purposely.
Che makes me think "serial" killer. Are hitmen considered serial killers? Especially if they are possibly leaving calling cards?

Re: Thai Girl Shot Dead

Not real sure on this one. It might be a "calling card" type of thing or perhaps a preference for that type of weapon or caliber. It might be that the assassin used that particular firearm to show his professionalism or ability to procure expensive weaponry or to show off how expensive he is to hire. Like if the guy's willing to drop a two thousand dollar plus pistol like it's a styrofoam cup...what in God's name must he be charging for an actual hit? Given that he only targeted one person, used one shot, incurred no collateral damage, dropped the murder weapon, used such an expensive and rare pistol, and walked away without a trace, indicates a very skilled, disciplined, experienced, trained, and determined assassin. This more likely than not was a quite expensive murder...my uneducated guess is that it had something to do with the international drugs, weapons, slavery, or espionage business. I could be wrong, but the rule is to always follow the big money.
If found that beautiful firearm just lying on the grass, I'd be inclined pick it up and run off with it, thereby becoming the prime suspect for the hit.

Maybe that was the plan.

I'm totally joking.

I can assure you that I would be hoping they found the bad guy fast, hold trial, find him guilty, and let me have that gun...for safe keeping of course.

Is it true that a lot of mob pros use a .22 to the back of the head?

I want to know why she was killed, and by whom. Too intriguing to never find out!

Yup...usually a .22 caliber Ruger with a suppressor, but not as a drop gun. But you simply can't beat an old cheap .38 spl. revolver as a drop gun.

If it's a murder in a quiet place (home, office, car, etc.) and noise is a factor, then a .22 caliber semi-automatic pistol with a suppressor...they don't leave this type of firearm.

If it's a murder in a crowded public place and noise is not a factor, then a cheap .22 caliber or .38 special revolver...this is the type of firearm that is immediately dropped after the murder. They usually take precautions against leaving finger prints or DNA.

If it's a murder that's meant to send a message, then a sawed off double barreled 12 gauge shotgun will be used...both barrels with double OO buck shot.

i don't buy it that a characteristic of a hit is one shot. why risk one? many people survive single gunshot wounds to the head....the american mafia hits were always multiple.....i dunno about that one. and 3 booms don't attract 3 times the attention as one boom.....also what if there just so happens to be a cop or a hero present who is willing to confront the shooter? if they see him toss the gun they're going to be inclined to do just that. if it were me, i'd make sure i at least got around the corner before i ditched the weapon, or ducked into a waiting car with it, and tossed it later. also no gun=less prints, ballistic evidence and DNA. to me it sounds like more of a nervous gangbanger for hire/ex-lover/amateur than it does a hit man. just my speculation.
