A 30-year-old man, Jirakit S., was riding his bike when he was struck on the head with a steel pipe by a passing biker. When rescuers arrived at the scene, they found "brain matter visibly protruding" from his head. He was taken to hospital, where he died. The perp then turned around and picked up the pipe.

Three individuals were arrested, with the killer being identified as 27-year-old Mr. Phadungdet. Also involved in the crime were Mr. Amnat (Phadungdet's father), and Mr. Hma Noi (a relative of Amnat).

They claimed to have endured constant verbal abuse from Jirakit over multiple years, and that they had encountered him on his motorcycle by chance. Amnat shouted at Jirakit to stop, but Jirakit continued on his way. However, Phadungdet, approaching from the other direction, intercepted and struck him.
