If you keep pausing and go frame by frame, you can see that the driver was quickly run over after the impact. The impact probably killed the driver, anyway.

One has to hate Murphy's law, there was a 12 second window when he/she could have lost control and not have a major issue, but oh noooo it had to be precisely at the right moment the last truck of the day came down the road in the opposite direction, fuck that!
