The pedant in me wants to point to the Manowar jellyfish, whose sting is so painful that there are reports of people still screaming from the pain even after being rendered unconcious by it, but fire-pain can't be too far from itt. I've been on fire myself, and by fuck, is it nasty. I've a lot of sympathy for this guy. His mind really can't have been in a good place to consider this the best way to end it. Poor bugger.
