Re: Teenage Boy Killed by Drop Tower in Orlando, Florida
He was already flailing around before he fell. Poor kid, that must’ve been awful. Even the riders that were properly snugged in tight don’t look safe to me considering G forces of the sudden stop and no belt connecting the shoulder harness to the seat. I’d not trust my life on just the shoulder part holding. One of the rides at Universal in Florida has a test seat they make questionably sized people sit in. |

This makes even it more terrifying for me. Seeing what his pov would have been. That poor boy. He just wanted to go on a ride with his friends.

Re: Teenage Boy Killed by Drop Tower in Orlando, Florida
From when it tilted down, he must have been slipping down and realising his impending demise.. he must have held on for a few seconds with sweaty palms, to be pushed into the restraints on the way down, having a glimmer of hope maybe, or relief? Although this was over once the slowing down started. His legs, becoming heavier and heavier each nanosecond started pulling on his body. His hands and arms unable to clench anymore. In his final moments he still moved his arms in from of him. As if he was going to break his fall and protect his core. He might have been big-boned, but he was a warrior until the end. It’s sad he did not survive, but then again nobody could have. If anybody could though, it would have been him. RIP baller!! |

Where's the footage of that guy in white shirt standing in the background leaning over the railing with his phone camera rolling after the boy went splat? thats the holy grail of this incident!

There used to be an amusement park in north Seattle called Playland. I forget when it opened, but it closed shortly before the Seattle World's Fair opened in 1962, so it's been gone a long time. Anyway, a friend of my dad's stood up in the roller coaster, and... yeah.
