Florida is the most (or one of the most) anti-tyrannical states in the union regarding laws and law enforcement. It is a pleasure to live with this level of freedom. Just like the good old days when this mindset was common nationally, you do have to know your own limitations and not get yourself into dangerous situations.

Look at the pics that Chris posted. That boy was simply too huge for that ride, and either he or his (absent) parents needed to recognize that and act accordingly. Not just for a carnival ride, but for many circumstances when being abnormally big is dangerous. If not, it is a classic Darwin culling scenario.
