My first thought was suicide, because, I mean there's so little damage that someone was able to pop the hood afterwards. There's no fire damage around the engine which is where fires usually start. There's also no damage to any of the doors so if the guy was conscious when he wrecked he should have been able to just open the door and get out. Strange case. |

Yes, that is what made me think "heart attack" or "stroke" He didn't really smash into the pole. He just kind of bumped or drifted into it. And, like you, I wonder why he didn't make any attempt to open a door or leave the car. That's why I think he was already dead. But we'll probably never know.
