Re: Tank Misfire Kills All Soldiers Inside It
To be fair, he never referred to it as a tank, just shared his experience as a tanker to relate and compare.

Re: Tank Misfire Kills All Soldiers Inside It
The US sabotaged a load of ammunition meant for NVA troops in Vietnam. Most of the ammo was just fine and was not tampered with. But ever so often an AK47 round was loaded with high explosives destroying the rifle and injuring, maiming or killing the soldier using it. The troops had no idea the shipment had been sabotaged and rumors flowed through the NVA soldiers like wildfire. Some refused to fire their weapons and lost trust in their supplies. The NVA ended up destroying multiple millions of rounds of their own ammunition to win the trust of their own troops back. A very effective psychological warfare operation indeed. I don’t know what caused this misfire but it brought back that memory.
